Post-Listen Thoughts: I went into this one without many expectations, although the title of the first track instantly made me wonder how many Hamilton easter eggs there would be. Turns out not many more - that I caught - but that didn't affect my opinion of the musical. After reading through this with the script and listening to it I would think that a lot would be missed if listening only. The stage directions made me laugh out loud multiple times, which is always a good sign in my opinion. I thought the best thing about the music was the orchestration, which was varied and dense. One interesting difference between this and Hamilton was the approach taken when addressing slavery.…
