An interesting show from the classic duo Lerner and Loewe. I don't know musical theatre timeline history well enough but the musical feels like its stuck between two eras to me. The dance numbers and some of the music feels more dated than other parts of the musical. It could potentially be the production I watched though, since that was modern. It was a little boring, and I suppose forgetful, since I did see it in person when I was younger but remembered almost nothing as I watched it this time. The ending felt tagged on for audience appeasement, but who knows, they do that all the time so it's not a cardinal sin. Another middle of the road show…
